“Can I integrate yoga into my Christian lifestyle?” “Will ‘Kundalini, the Serpent Power’ of yoga, hurt me?” “Isn’t yoga an Eastern religious practice found in Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism?” These questions and numerous others are what many Christians today are asking themselves when it comes to yoga. As the story goes, many Christians justify doing yoga by saying [and even vehemently defending their position] that the asanas (poses, stretching exercises) can be separated from the occult, pantheistic (All is God, God is All) philosophy which all yoga is based upon. Even many church leaders, including a number of evangelical pastors, see no problem with doing yoga..."
